The Professional Tile Roofing System

Tiles have been used for centuries as a roofing material because of their natural beauty and durability.

Using nails or screws to fasten tiles to the roof simply punches holes in the waterproof underlayment. The roof on a typical home will end up with literally thousands of puncture holes in the waterproof underlayment caused by the nails or screws. Each of these punctures is a leak waiting to happen. It’s like standing in the rain wearing a raincoat full of holes.

The POLYSET® Tile Roofing System eliminates these thousands of holes in the waterproof underlayment.

Mother Nature won’t “baby” your tile roof. You depend on it to protect your family and possessions from the blazing sun, torrential rain, and even hurricane force winds.

POLYSET® is a patented polyurethane adhesive that locks the tiles in place. It can be used without nails or screws, so it won’t puncture your roof deck. POLYSET® won’t corrode or rust like nails or screws. POLYSET® has 50-100% greater wind resistance than either nails or screws. Each tile is held in place by a paddy of POLYSET® Adhesive. No nails or screws are used except on steep slopes.

The POLYSET® System was designed to withstand the extremes of nature including the winds of a Category 5 hurricane.

Hurricane Andrew, which ravaged South Florida in 1992, graphically demonstrated the inadequacies of the tile attachment methods in use at the time.

It was this search for a better attachment method that lead to the development the the POLYSET® Professional Tile Roofing System in 1993.
